Ages Divisions & Teams
Lake City Heat Volleyball is open to girls ready to bring focus, fire, and a team-first mindset to the court. As a brand new program, this is your chance to be part of our debut season and help lay the foundation for something big.
In our debut year, we are opening three competitive travel teams under our Heat banner:

Final team placements will be determined by age, skill level, and tryout numbers.
We’re looking for athletes who want to grow with us and help define what Heat Volleyball stands for on and off the court.
Whether you’re just stepping into competitive play or already have experience under your belt, if you’re ready to work hard, compete with heart, and rise with the Heat this is your moment.


Tryout & Registration
We’ll be holding official tryouts on August 23rd, 2025 for the upcoming club season.
A later makeup date may be added in the fall for those unable to attend the primary session.

Tryouts will include:

Skill assessments (serving, passing, setting, attacking, defense)

Competitive drills and scrimmage-style play

Coach evaluations for athleticism, attitude, and potential
Please note: These are tryouts, not sign-ups. We have limited roster spots, and not all athletes will be selected.

🕤 Arrival Time: Please arrive 30 minutes early to complete check-in, receive your tryout number, and go over registration details.

Note: Both AAU and USAV use July 1, 2025, as the age cutoff date for the 2025–2026 season .
Coaches

Sergio Gallegos
Head Coach
Coach Sergio brings a lifetime of sports experience from t-ball to football, wrestling to volleyball, with two years coaching volleyball and flag football. With firsthand knowledge of what it takes to be driven, stay focused, and push through adversity, Coach Sergio knows how to cultivate grit both on and off the field.
A believer in the power of will and determination, Coach Sergio teaches athletes to never quit, even when the odds are stacked against them. Under his guidance, players learn to channel passion into performance and develop the mental toughness needed to succeed at every level.

Alexis Norris
Head Coach
Coach Lexi has played volleyball since middle school, including a brief stint in community college. She has long been passionate about coaching and even considered starting her own club before. When Lake City Heat Volleyball caught wind of her dedication and vision, we were excited to bring her on board to help build future athletes.
Bringing valuable in-game knowledge and firsthand court experience, Alexis is dedicated to helping players grow their skills and confidence. Driven and determined, she strives to be a positive role model and mentor, inspiring the girls to play with heart both on and off the court.
